Plane Unit Release Paths

Lucile Plane Unit is operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Correctional Institutions Division. A woman can leave through parole, mandatory supervision, sentence discharge, or transfer. Parole and mandatory supervision continue state oversight in the community. Discharge is the recorded end of the applicable sentence or supervision. Transfer means confinement continues at another site or under another authority.

Plane's reentry programs are important context. They can address planning before release. Yet a class, plan, or program assignment does not establish approval, the final date, or destination. Those facts belong to the individual TDCJ and parole record.

Confirm Plane Unit Release

Use the TDCJ inmate search for current incarceration. Search by last name with first initial, seven-digit TDCJ number, or SID. Optional gender and race fields narrow results. Compare several identifiers because common names and spelling differences can produce the wrong record.

The online system includes only people currently incarcerated by TDCJ. A current Plane record may show location, offenses, and a Projected Release Date. A former prisoner may disappear instead of retaining a public Released profile. Neither a no-result nor a future date proves a completed departure.

1. Read the current TDCJ record and note its exact unit and date labels.
2. Call the BPP status line at 844-512-0461 for review and decision information.
3. After favorable action, call Parole Division release processing at 512-406-5202.
4. Request TDCJ history showing the actual release, discharge, or transfer event.
5. Use IVSS and the district parole office for notification and supervision confirmation.

Plane Unit Records Contact

Plane is located north of Dayton on the state complex shared with Hightower and Henley. Include “Lucile Plane Unit,” the woman's full name, TDCJ number when known, and a narrow date range in any inquiry. These facts prevent confusion with a neighboring unit.

For inmate information, TDCJ lists 936-295-6371 and 800-535-0283 on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For historical proof, request existing records through TDCJ Open Records. Useful fields include incarceration history, Plane admission and departure entries, release or discharge date, release type, transfer destination, and supervision status. Plane Reentry Program Context

The official Plane Unit page documents a 2,296-capacity female prison and its reentry and pre-release programming. That makes Plane distinct within Liberty County. Capacity is not live population data, and program descriptions are not individual custody records.

The image confirms the facility identity and state operator. It cannot establish whether any named woman completed a program or was released. The individual record remains essential because facility context cannot replace a dated custody event.

Arrangements reviewed before departure, not the departure event itself.

Plane Release Plan Processing

A favorable Board decision may still require program completion, residence review, identification, supervision arrangements, or other processing. FI and its variants indicate favorable parole action but can include conditions or a future month. RMS approves mandatory supervision. NR, SA, and DMS do not authorize the same outcome. Use the exact current definition.

Parole Division, not the Liberty County Sheriff, handles state release processing. After a Plane departure to supervision in Liberty County, the Dayton District Parole Office can verify an active assignment. It cannot supply the original county jail record or replace TDCJ's prison departure history.

The Probation & Parole resource also distinguishes parole from probation. Liberty County probation is court-ordered community supervision handled by CSCD. It does not prove a prior Plane incarceration.

Plane Projected Release Limits

TDCJ's Projected Release Date depends on offense date and type, sentence structure, eligibility, credits, Board action, and release-plan processing. Texas Government Code Section 498.003 states that good conduct time affects parole or mandatory-supervision eligibility and does not otherwise shorten the sentence. Credits can be lost.

Sections 508.145 and 508.149 provide different parole and mandatory-supervision rules. There is no accurate one-size Texas “85 percent rule.” A detainer, consecutive term, changed credit, denial, or plan issue can alter the practical date. The Projected Release page explains these distinctions. For a past event, ask for the final recorded date rather than trying to reconstruct it from an old projection.

Plane's reentry work can occur alongside this legal timeline, but it does not replace it. CHANGES or other pre-release planning, the Prisoner Reentry Initiative, and a reentry resource fair describe support functions documented for the unit. Participation does not show that the Board acted, that a release plan cleared review, or that a named woman departed.

A focused historical request should ask TDCJ for the Plane admission and departure entries, actual release or discharge date, event type, and destination. Include the TDCJ number or SID when available. Without an agency number, use the full name, exact date of birth or approximate age, and county of conviction so the state can identify the correct incarceration history.

When parole is involved, retain each milestone. The Board decision date records panel action. Parole Division handles approved-release processing, and a later TDCJ entry records the custody outcome. The Dayton DPO can confirm supervision after assignment. Reentry planning may help shape the transition, yet none of its program dates should be published as the physical release date.

IVSS can provide a separate notification trail for a Board decision, discharge date, release, or bench-warrant movement. Preserve the notice wording and compare it with the formal record. Texas VINELink is the county custody layer and should not be used to fill gaps in a Plane prison history.

Plane Release Notices

State prison notification belongs to the TDCJ Integrated Victim Services System. IVSS can issue notices for parole eligibility, Board decisions, discharge dates, release, and bench-warrant events. Contact IVSS at 800-848-4284 or victim.svc@tdcj.texas.gov. Preserve the exact notice language.

Texas VINELink is a county custody and criminal-case layer linked by LCSO. It should not be substituted for IVSS when tracking Plane. Any alert is one source, not universal proof that no other custodian became involved. Pair it with the TDCJ event history.

A Plane notification should retain the named event and agency. A discharge-date notice is not the same as a Board decision, and a bench-warrant movement can involve temporary custody changes. Compare the alert with TDCJ history and Parole Division processing. That check keeps a reentry milestone or notification from becoming an unsupported release claim.

Plane Release and Detainers

A planned prison exit can become a transfer. ICE describes a detainer as a request for notice and up to 48 more hours beyond the otherwise applicable release time so it may assume custody. Other warrants or legal holds can also affect the destination.

If the TDCJ destination record supports immigration custody, search the ICE Online Detainee Locator with exact identifiers. It covers current detainees and recent ICE releases within its stated window. No official evidence reviewed identifies Plane or another Liberty County site as a current ICE detention facility. Do not infer an ICE transfer from a missing TDCJ result.

Ask TDCJ for the receiving agency when a transfer is recorded. ODLS absence can reflect a mismatch, expired recent-release coverage, an age restriction, removal, or no ICE record. It cannot prove return to the community or replace Plane's own departure record.

Plane Within Liberty Corrections

The Liberty County strategic plan identifies five correctional facilities with a total confined population exceeding 4,500. Four are TDCJ sites. Plane's female prison and reentry functions differ from Henley's treatment and sanctions, Bell's male pre-release role, and Hightower's male prison operations.

The fifth site is Liberty County Jail. LCSO resumed its operational management in October 2020. That county history does not change Plane's TDCJ custody. Older contractor-era jail descriptions should not be used for Plane. The Liberty County released inmate search separates state, county, federal, and immigration routes so the shared location does not obscure the agency holding the record.
